Mildred Smith English
Funeral services for Mildred Smith English, 80, a longtime resident of Longview will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 17, 2005, at the Greggton Missionary Baptist Church, with the Reverend Bill Voss officiating. Burial will be in Memory Park Cemetery, Longview, under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. She passed away Saturday, Feb. 12, 2005 in Longview from injuries received in an automobile accident.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. English was born April 20, 1924, in Paragould, Arkansas, to Coley and Virginia Ford. She was a homemaker and an active member of the Greggton Missionary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husbands Ernest Smith and Troy English.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and Teresa Smith of Hillsboro, Texas and Terry and Suzette Smith of Clayton, North Carolina; daughters and sons-in-law, Dianne and Philip Ridings of Indianapolis, Indiana, Sue Lange of Longview, and Patricia and Bill Brunson of Overton, TX.; brother, J. C. Ford of Longview; sisters, Marjorie Wilson of Elderville and Nell Wilson of Longview; grandchildren, Chris Smith, Joe Smith, Tasha Smith, Matthew Ridings, Brad Davis, Misty Davis, Michelle Davis, Kenny Davis, John Taylor, Jr., and Melissa White; 7 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
