Mildred I. "Hall" Ray's Obituary
Graveside services for Mildred I. (Hall) Ray ,92, of Longview, Texas (Pine Tree area) will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, January 28, 2019 at Forest Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Ray passed away on Friday, January 25, 2019 in Longview.
Mrs. Ray was born to John T. Hall Sr and Tessie (Page) Hall, on March 9, 1926. She grew up in the Hallsville community, Hallsville schools, and was a graduate of BMI, (Bish Mathis Institute), Longview. She worked at Longview Savings & Loan, Young Jewelers in Longview, and Texas Employment Commission in Longview and for many years as a homemaker.
Mrs. Ray is preceded in death by her Parents John T, Sr. and Tessie Hall; paternal and maternal grandparents; brothers Lacy Hall & wife Thelma, McLeansboro, IL, John T Hall, Jr. (J.T.) & wife Cecil, Hallsville, TX; Sybil (Hall) Sawyer & Husband J.D., of Mt. Pleasant, TX, Nina (Hall) Hopkins & Husband, Ellie Hopkins, Longview, TX; daughter Nancy Lynn (Ray) Summers; several nieces and nephews.
She is survived by her son James David Ray, Owasso, OK; eight grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren; numerous friends; several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to give special thanks to the Staff at Havencare and the Staff of Compass Hospice.
