Mildred Lois Gaddis Lynn "Millie"'s Obituary
Mildred Lois Gaddis Lynn—beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend—went home to be with her Lord and Savior on April 19, 2026, at the age of 95.
Mildred, affectionately known as “Millie,” was born on December 16, 1930, in Hallsville, Texas, to Votto A. Gaddis and Alma Prothro Gaddis. She lived a long and meaningful life rooted in faith, family, and kindness.
She was blessed with two children, her son, Ralph David Lynn, Jr., and her daughter, Sherry Annette Krauskopf, who were the pride and joy of her life.
Mildred was preceded in death by her parents; her son and daughter; her sisters, Betty Jean Gaddis and Syble Marie Gaddis Osborn; and her brothers, Malcolm Gaddis, Wayne Gaddis, Prothro Gaddis, Votto Gaddis, and Condrie Cain Gaddis.
She is survived by her two grandchildren, Stephanie Dawn McCoy and Ian Christopher Lynn, along with many great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews who will continue to cherish her memory. She is also survived by her special great-niece, Sandra Broyles, and niece, Mary Broyles, who were faithfully by her side and there for her at all times.
Mildred was most proud of her 45-year career with Gulf/Chevron, retiring in 2000 as Eastern Region Manager. One of her greatest joys was being surrounded by—and traveling with—her family and friends.
Mildred was known for her gentle spirit, strong faith, and warm heart. She found joy in simple moments—time spent with loved ones, sharing stories, and offering encouragement to those around her. Her life was a testament to grace, resilience, and devotion.
She will be remembered for her kindness, her steadfast faith, and the love she shared so freely with all who knew her. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
A memorial marker has been placed in the Gaddis Family Plot at Hallsville Cemetery in Hallsville, Texas. Per her request, no services will be held.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Heartsway Hospice, including her special nurse, Josh Oden, for the compassionate care and support provided.
