Mildred Fogleman Flanders' Obituary
Memorial services for Mildred Fogleman Flanders, 83, of Longview, will be 10 AM Monday in the Rosewood Park Mausoleum Chapel with Reverend Shelley Kral officiating.
Mrs. Flanders passed away Friday morning in a local hospital.
Mildred was born in Kemp, Texas to a pioneer Texas farming and ranching family from Kaufman County. After graduating from Kemp High School she attended North Texas State College majoring in Art. After moving to Longview she met and married Tom Flanders. Mildred was a long time member of the First Presbyterian Church and was active in the nursery and other church organizations.
A life time artist she was involved with and served on the Board of Directors of the Longview Museum of Fine Arts. Her works have been collected by many area families.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50+ years, Thomas P. Flanders.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son: Thomas K. Flanders, daughter: Sally A. Alldredge, grandson: Destin Alldredge granddaughter: London Noel Alldredge and a sister: Nita Stephens.
The family would like to say Thank You for the care and support given by Dr. Laura Welch as well as Latrine, Brittney and Tonka, her loving caregivers. Special Thanks to the Edwards Family for all their kindness.
