Miki Chen went to be with her Lord Tuesday, December 10, 2002.
Funeral services for Miki Sung Howt Chen, 17, of Longview, will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, December 17, 2002 at Oakland Heights Baptist Church with Reverends
Mark Dickson, Neil Britton and Gideon Lim officiating. Rader Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Interment will follow in Rosewood Park Cemetery.
Miki was born September 28, 1985 in Longview to Chin and Win - ing
Chen, was a member of the St. Michael's and All Angels Episcopal Church and a student at Pine Tree High School.
Miki was a National Merit Commended Scholar, a member of the LeTourneau Stage Band, was on the distinguished honor roll, a member of the National Honor Society, an officer of the math club and president of the 4H club.
She was also vice president of the Spanish Club, a member of the honors division of the Academic Decathlon team and was on three divisions of the University Interscholastic League math/science team.
Miki is survived by her mother, Win-ing Anney Chen; father, Chin tuo Chen; sisters, Cheri Chen, Mamma Kay Glass, Crystal Glass of San Antonio, Anita & Matthew Prazack of Diana; brothers, Paul & Ruth Glass, Kenneth Glass, Chip Glass, and Dale Glass, all of Longview; grandparents, A-Han & Shoe E lin Ho of Taiwan and a number of aunts and uncles.
Daddy Keith preceded her in death.
