Mike Lyn Jackson's Obituary
Mike Jackson of Longview stepped on heaven's shore on the eve of Easter, March 30, following a sudden illness.
Born in Charleston, West Virginia, Mike and his bride moved to Longview, TX in 1966 to attend LeTourneau University where he obtained his Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry.
He worked for Lone Star Steel and Texas Eastman as a lab chemist before becoming a self-employed residential house painter.
Mike was an active member of Mobberly Baptist Church where he enjoyed special areas of service, especially the Prayer Room and greeting ministries, and the Yeates' Sunday school class.
He is survived by his wife, Mary, and their son, Bill, of Fort Worth; his brother, Dick of Florida, and other many loving in-laws. He is preceded in death by a son, his parents and a sister.
A memorial service will be held at Rader Funeral Home Chapel at 10:00 Wednesday. Visitation is welcome at the Jackson home in the afternoons.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mobberly Baptist Church building fund or LeTourneau University Aviation Scholarships.
