I attended Judson Schools with Mike until my family moved to Spring Hill after my Sixth Grade year. I remained aware of Mike and his escapades at Longview High as we shared several friends from our Judson days. My most vivid and best memories of Mike are from our shared days at Chaparral Plaza Brookshire's where we (though both conscientious employees) had insane hilarious fun as we tortured management and old biddy checkers with our endless outrageous antics. Our Saturday late night weekly stripping and waxing of the endless aisles of the store were made tolerable to a great extent by Mike’s contribution to the janitorial madness. We ended up being “in uniform” at the same time and though he was in the Corps and I the Navy, our paths were to never cross again. Mike contributed significantly to the quality of my, and I am sure, many, many others over the course of his unfairly shortened life. Semper Fi.

Mike and I played in both the Judson Jr. High Band and Longview HS bands. We were Cub Scouts together in Longview and in same HS grad class. He went to A&M, I went to UT. Miss you ol buddy.

I was reading thru the Lobo Class of '73 facebook page and only now learned of Mike's passing. It does not matter as it hurts just as bad of losing a friend like Mike. We went thru Cub Scouts together and LHS Lobo Band. He will always be remembered. From the Johnson family to the Hagemeyer family, our thoughts and prayers are with you.

To the Hagemeyer Family,

I just learned of Mike's passing a few mins ago and wish I could of relayed this to his family in a more timely manner... I served with Mike "Hags" for 2 yrs while assigned to HMM-162 at Marine Corps Air Station, New River NC. He was a good pilot, a great Marine Officer and an even better person. What I'll always remember is mike's great sense of humor and easy smile. He was liked by all and would do anything for anyone. May I say that your lose is felt by many of Mike's fellow squadron mates and friends throughout the Marine Corps. Semper Fi Mike.... may you serve proudly in our Lords Honor Guard.

"Hags" was a man of unmatched dedication, who served his Country and his Corps superlatively before and in the aftermath of the worst single life-loss event of our Military Services since WWII...He could always be counted on for getting the tough jobs done, with a willing spirit and the good humor to keep the rest of us going, too. To the Hagemeyer family,

Tonight, April 21, I was attending Aggie Muster in Katy when I heard Mike's name called. I answered "here" and went up front and held his candle. I did not know of his passing. I met Mike in the summer of 1973 when we were both "Prep" cadets on the Texas Clipper at A&M Galveston. The Prep class became good buddies that summer as we sailed to the Mediterranean and back. We toured Rome, Naples, Barcelona, the Virgin Islands and more that summer. Mike and I rented a car in the Madeira Islands and drove through wonderful scenery figuring if we got lost we would eventually find our way back because it was an island!
