Michael Scott Thompson's Obituary
Michael Scott Thompson was born August 27, 1965 in Longview, Texas and passed away Friday, May 15, 2015 at a local hospital after a yearlong battle with cancer.
Scott was a graduate of Hallsville High School. He loved fishing and spent many happy hours at Blue Hole; reeling in trophy big mouth bass. He was employed by Made Rite Company for several years. He always worked harder than he had to. Along the way, he made many lifelong friends.
Survivors include his father, Mike Thompson of Longview; mother and step-father, Beth Hughes and Walter Peacock of Longview; Daughters, April Thompson and Shantana Duke; sister, Amy Peacock Redding and husband, Brian Redding and their children, Camille, Delaney and Elyse all of Denton, Texas; brother and sister-in-law, Kyle and Meagan Thompson and their children, Kanan and Kylie all of Liberty City, Texas; Uncle and Aunt Pat and Angela Thompson and children; and numerous cousins.
Visitation will be Sunday, May 17, 2015 from 5 – 7 pm at the funeral home with services on Monday, May 18, 2015 at 10 am in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home. Private family burial will follow at Hickory Grove cemetery.
