Michael David Taylor, Jr.
Memorial services for Michael David Taylor, Jr., 48, of Longview will be held Friday, October 30, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Clear Creek Community Church, Egret Bay Campus in League City, TX. A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 27, at The Bridge, room D-120, Mobberly Baptist Church.
Michael was born September 24, 1967 in Pasadena, TX and went to be with his Lord on October 20, 2015.
He was a 1987 graduate of North Shore High School in Houston and attended East Texas Baptist University in Marshall. He was employed as an onsite manager for Total Safety Fire Services at Eastman in Longview.
Michael, a loving husband and dad, spent his life serving the Lord in many different capacities, including Counselor at Youth Reach in Houston, Youth Pastor at Highlands Baptist Church in Highlands, TX, East Bernard First Baptist Church in East Bernard, and Broadway Baptist Church in Houston. He was assistant bus minister at Sagemont Church in Houston and volunteered at Clear Creek Community Church in League City.
He was preceded in death by his little baby girl, Trace Taylor and 4 other precious infants; his grandparents, Estelle and Horace Taylor and Rheba and Raymond Munsinger.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 24 years, Laurie; sons, Layth and Cody; parents, Michael Sr. and Nelda Taylor; sister, Michelle Martin and husband Troy of League City; brother Caleb Cannon and wife Robin of Humble; and several nieces and nephews.
