Michael T. Messner's Obituary
MICHAEL TAYLOR MESSNER
Michael Taylor Messner was born March 21, 1945 in Dallas Texas. He was adopted at the age of 6 months by Delbert and Barbara Messner of Longview. A graduate of Allen Military Academy in Bryan Texas class of 1964. Michael then went on to study commutations at West Monroe collage. Michael also attended the Kilgore Police Academy and became an Officer in the same town of Kilgore. Mr. Messner attended fire training school and went on to work for Gregg County Airport Fire & Police Departments. He also became a member of the Elderville Lakeport Volunteer Fire Department in which he served as Fire Marshall from 1984-1988, he was also an avid fisherman. Michael wed Wendolyn Jo Engledow of Kilgore on February 2 1985, they celebrated 32 years of marriage this month.
Mr. Messner is preceded in death by his mother and father Delbert and Barbara Messner of Longivew, Brother Troy Shields of Pinellas Park Florida. Mr. Messner is survived by his wife Wendy Messner of Kilgore, Daughter Michele and Joey Bell of White Oak, Daughter Jennifer and Billy West of Bunker Hill West Virginia, Son David and Courtney Hooker of Kilgore, Sister in law Shirley Shields of Pinellas Park Flordia, 8 grandchildren, Numerous Nieces and Nephews and Cousins. Remember the Alamo. Michael Messner passed away Sunday Febuary 5, 2017.
A Visitation will be from 6:00P.M. to 8:00P.M. at Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Funeral services will be held on February 8th at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church in KIlgore followed by burial at Elderville Cemetery.
