Michael Arthur Martin ,Sr. 's Obituary
Michael Arthur Martin, Sr. was born in Meridian, Mississippi. After a lengthy illness, he went home to be with his Lord and Saviour on Friday, September 16, 2016, in Gladewater, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Faye F. Bordelon and James Lee Bordelon; and a set of twins, Jonathan and Jeremiah Martin.
He is survived by three brothers; Danny Martin of Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, Jimmy Bordelon, and David Bordelon, both of New Orleans, Louisiana. He is also survived by Debbie Martin, his wife of thirty-three years; six sons, Michael Martin, Jr., James Martin, Darrin Martin, Nicholas Martin, Bradley Martin, and Matthew Martin; and four daughters, Jeannine Rosseau, Rebekah Martin, Rachel Martin, and Ruthie Martin.
Mr. Martin is a Vietnam veteran, having served in the US Navy. He was also a longtime member of the Longview Baptist Temple.
Services will be held at 2 pm, Tuesday, September 27th, at the Longview Baptist Temple, conducted by Rader Funeral Home. There will be a viewing for Mr. Martin on Saturday morning starting one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Gardens.
