Michael H. Fitzgerald's Obituary
Services for Michael H. Fitzgerald, 59, of White Oak will be 10 AM Monday, May 20th at the Rader Funeral Home Chapel,
1617 Judson Rd. with Pastor Kenneth Cline officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery.
Mr. Fitzgerald died Friday, May 17th at his residence.
He was born September 27, 1942 at Longview to Haskell M. and Penny Ford Fitzgerald and was a lifelong resident. Mr. Fitzgerald graduated from Longview High School in 1960 and attended Kilgore College. he was an employee of L. E. Myers Electrical Contractors and a member of the I.B.E.W. Local 324. Mr. Fitzgerald was an avid Gun enthusiast and an active member of the National Rifle Association. He served for six years with the National Guard.
Michael was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He married Susan McIntosh May 9, 1977 and two weeks ago celebrated 25 years of marriage.
He was preceded in death by his parents and survived by wife, Susan of White Oak; son and daughter-in-law, Michael C. and Nickie Fitzgerald of Waskom; daughter and son-in-law, Janis Kay Shelton and Scott Newton of White Oak; grandchildren, Makayla Nichole Fitzgerald, Krystal and Rachel Ludy, all of Waskom, Lane Scott Newton of White Oak; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Edna and T. D. McIntosh of Longview; brother-in-law and wife, Charles and Cindy McIntosh of Kilgore; sister-in-law and husband, Kathy and Bill Bailey of Nederland; aunt, Jennie Ford of Longview and several cousins.
The Fitzgerald family wishes to extend thanks to Drs. Shima, John Lejeune and Elhalwagi.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Amercian Heart Association, 1125 Judson Rd., Longview, Texas 75601.
Family visitation will be at the funeral home, Sunday afternoon, May 19th from 3-5 PM.
