Mrs. Mercedes and her husband Glen were the kindest people that I met as a youth. Both of them were so kind and had welcoming smiles. Mercedes Sister stayed with us for a few days. As a teenage boy, I could not get over how beautiful and shiny she was. I have still not gotten over it and I am 63 years old. I wish I could have seen Mercedes before she passed away. She often did my taxes a few years back. Very sweet lady. My prayers are with her family.
My Prayers and Hugs are extended to the Family and Friends. Mercedes always had a warm hug and such kind and loving words for me whenever we saw each other. She was a gentle and sweet Sister. I had to pleasure of being in the Ministry with her and was gifted with words of wisdom and I knew she had the biggest heart and love for people. My condolences to the family. I will miss seeing her coming into our office at least once every year just to say "hi". I worked with her when we first opened up the Gladewater H&R Block office and she was such a pleasure to work for. She will be missed.
My deepest sympathy to the family, I’ve known Mercedes for more than 25 years. We met when I was a young pioneer in Jefferson, TX . She was visiting a former bible study and our relationship began from there. We remained friends and she became a true confidant. Many days we spent together in the ministry and at her tax office conversing, laughing, and crying....another hole has been etched in my heart. So now, I have even more reasons to hope in the Resurrection, to welcome her and my parents back!

I remember visiting with her and the family at their home years ago. A very dear friend, she helped us surprise Drake for his high school graduation party, we went on Bethel Tours together, always loving, kind and calm. I so look forward to hugging her again soon.
