Melba Joy Overall's Obituary
Mrs. Melba Joy Williams Overall of Longview passed away Thursday evening in Longview. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, November 16, 2009 at McKnight Cemetery in Cushing, TX with a memorial service following at 2 p.m. at the Wesley McCabe United Methodist Church in Longview. A reception will follow the Memorial service.
Mrs. Overall was born in Cushing, TX on June 14, 1931 to Charlie and Effie Williams. Melba was a faithful member of Wesley Mccabe United Methodist Church for over 55 years. She was a happy homemaker and sold real estate in Longview for many years. Mrs. Overall is preceded in death by her husband of 45 years Morris Ray "Hossy" Overall, a sister Valis Mason and brother Loren Delton "Johnny" Williams.
She is survived by her three daughters and sons-in-law Debra and Michael Sword of Tyler, TX, Leah and Dennis Stuekerjuergen of Garland, TX, Sue Alyson and Roy Oglesby of Tyler, TX; son and daughter-in-law Wayne Morris and Betty Overall of Houston, TX; grandchildren Ryan and Aaron Sword, Kelsie Joy Overall, Ashton and Walker Oglesby; sister Ida Perry, brother and sister-in-law Earlon and Sarah Beth Williams; numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to Margaret's House or to the Wesley McCabe United Methodist Church both in Longview.
