My heart is so sad at the passing of Melba. She was one of the sweetest, kindest and most caring persons I have ever known. She was a dear friend from Victory Baptist when we lived in Marshall, Texas. Melba was a faithful Christian and a blessing to me and all who knew her. May God bless and comfort her family, who loved her beyond measure, now and in the difficult days ahead.

She is the sweetest mom of my dearest friend Cindy. Some of my first memories were when we sat behind her and Mr. Hazel at Victory Baptist Church in Marshall, TX, many years ago. Sweet and gentle are the words that come to mind any time I think of her or hear her name. Every time that I visited Cindy I also looked forward to visiting her parents (James & Melba). I know they loved me and I only hope that the family knows how much I love them. Sweet, kind, gentle. You will be missed beyond measure but we will see you again. Praise God!
