Melba Cochran Hudson's Obituary
Graveside services for Melba Cochran Hudson, 98, of Longview, will be 2 PM Thursday, May 15, 2003 at Neeley Cemetery near Laneville, Texas with Rev. Jonathan Jehorek officiating. Services are under direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview.
Mrs. Hudson passed away Tuesday morning, May 13, 2003 at a local nursing home.
She was born November 25, 1904 in Rusk County, Texas to J. W. and Fannie Cochran. She had spent most of her life in Henderson and was a homemaker and a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Longview.
Mrs. Hudson was preceded in death by her husband, Gip Hudson and is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Frances and Clark Sample of Longview; grandchildren, Carol Sample of Longview, Don and Donna Sample of Houston, Susie Graham of Longview and Robert and Molly Sample of Houston. She is also survived by nine great grandchildren; sister, Annette Crawford of Nacogdoches; sisters-in-law, Mildred Cochran of Henderson, Sybil Cochran of Austin and special niece, Lorraine Hudson of San Antonio.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, May 14, 2003 from 5 until 7 PM.
The family has asked that memorials be made to the First Presbyterian Church Building Fund, P. O. Box 1006, Longview, TX 75606 or to a charity of choice.
