Megan Corinne Parrish's Obituary
Megan Corinne Parrish, 25, passed away on July 5, 2015 as a result of a motor vehicle accident in Dallas, TX. Megan was born in Dallas on April 26, 1990. She lived most of her life in Tyler, TX. She attended Robert E. Lee High School and graduated from Jacksonville High School in 2008. She studied at Tyler Junior College and was a certified EKG technician.
Mega was a member of Green Acres Baptist Church and active in youth mission activities. She was an outstanding athlete in both basketball and volleyball.
She is survived by her parents, Paige Parrish and Todd and Debra Parrish; sister, Alexandria Parrish; grandparents, David and Marjorie Gary; Winston and Donna Parrish; stepsister, Kristin Benson and husband Brad Washburn; stepbrothers, Matthew Benson and wife Samantha, Daniel Benson; nieces, Olive, Penelope, Everwren; aunt, Rhonda Parker and husband Troy; cousins, Preston Parker and wife Randa, Valerie Miller and husband Taylor, Emily Gary and David J. Gary.
Megan was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Inez Parrish; maternal great grandparents, David and Wilma Gary; paternal great grandparents, Lawrence and Edith Parrish and uncle Jeff Gary.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Megan Parrish Scholarship Fund listed with the Tyler Junior College Foundation, P.O. Box 9020, Tyler, TX 75711.
Celebration of Life Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 9, 2015 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview with the Reverend Bryan Grant officiating. Interment will follow in Peatown Cemetery, Longview.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home and from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday prior to the service.
