She was born Dec. 5, 1924 to Albert and Clara Rowe in Joice Iowa. She graduated from High School in 1943. She stayed home and worked in the Evans Drug Store. In 1948, she and a friend went to San Francisco, CA. She was married to Roy McNeal, a Chief at Treasure Island, in August of 1950 in the Lutheran Church. Roy continued to have Sea Duty until 1954 when he was stationed on the island of Guam. In December of 1954, she got to join him on the island. They thoroughly enjoyed the islands. They returned to the states in 1955. They lived in San Diego for a number of months. Their son, Scott was born on June 8, 1956, while his dad was in Japan, but he got the message.
They moved to Longview in 1960 where her husband was a Navy recruiter. He retired in 1962 with 21 years. She decided that she wanted to do something to keep busy so she went and applied at Johnny Caces. She was interviewed by Mr. Cace, and while he had his doubts about California people, she passed. While she was working there, she met Val Cace. She thought she was a perfect Lady. In all, she was with the Cace Family for 41 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband Roy.
She is survived by her Son and daughter in law, Scott and Janet McNeal of Lewisville; granddaughter, Kimberly McNeal of Longview; Sister Beverly Flinn of Minn.; The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Cace Family, Donna Layman, Queenie and Bud Rohus, Mary Dell Murphy, Ann and Ray Baumgardner and the many other customers she met.
