Maxine Merchant Fant
Graveside services for Maxine Merchant Fant, 77, of Longview will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 28, 2011 in the Rosewood Park Mausoleum Chapel with the Reverend David Reeder officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. She passed away Friday, June 24 in a Longview Hospital.
Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. prior to the service at Rosewood Park.
Mrs. Fant was born May 14, 1934 in Waldo, AR to Garvin B. and Lillian Merchant. She married Larry M. Fant June 28, 1953 and he preceded her in death in 1994 after 41 years of marriage. In 1992, Mrs. Fant retired from Stroh's Brewery after 32 years service.
Also preceding her in death are her parents; and daughters, Kathy Weatherman and Cindy Gaffney.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Paul Shore; grandchildren, Shannon Allen, Cody Mackey, Emily and Anna Shore, Angela Rider, Cherie Pruitt and Larry Smith; great grandchildren, Natalie, Kyndall and Brian Allen, Garrett Rider, Kaitlyn and Braden Pruitt, Dillon, Bailey and Logan Mackey and Lane Shore.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Good Shepherd Foundation, Volunteer's, 700 E. Marshall Ave., Longview, TX 75601.
