Dear David,
I was sorry to hear about your mother and also sorry not to be in town to attend the funeral. We are in Palm Springs, Ca half the year now.
Anyway just wanted to say how very much l thought of your wonderful famuly. Your mother was one of the most elegant and very sweet women that I have ever known. I enjoyed great relationships with her in the League and other social occasions. And I love your daddy too. He loved Billy Patterson so much and it was mutual when they hunted together.
You have been the most devoted son and need have no regrets. You are very admired for your faithfulness.
