Maxine Busbey's Obituary
A celebration of the life of Maxine Busbey, 86, of Longview, will be 10 AM Friday, June 20, 2008 in the chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview, with Dr. Jim Lewis officiating. Interment will follow in Memory Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Busbey was born April 19, 1922 in Breckenridge, TX to Dalton Lee Smith and Maymie Bunch Smith.
She had been a resident of Longview since 1931 coming
from Breckenridge.
She was a member of the First Christian Church of Longview and was a secretary for the Spring Hill School District, from where she retired.
Mrs. Busbey was preceded in death by parents; her husband, Ernest Busbey. They were married May 22, 1946. She is also preceded in death by a brother, Robert L. Smith.
She is survived by her daughter, Jan Stanford of Longview; granddaughter, Whitney Stanford of Longview; sister-in-law, Glenda Smith of Longview;
nephew and wife, Bill and Linda Busbey of Decatur, IL, Bob and Deborah Smith of Garland, TX and niece, Kerry Frazier, and other loving relatives.
The family has asked that memorial donations be made to either First Christian Church, Longview or to the Alzheimer's Association.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 6 PM until 8 PM.
