Funeral services for Max Roberts,62,of Longview will be held at Four O?Clock p.m. Monday October 8, 2001 at the Rader Funeral Home Chapel 1617 Judson Road with Reverend Ray Tenpenny officiating. Burial will be in Enon Cemetery in Gilmer under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Mr. Roberts died Saturday October 6,2001 in Longview.
He was born July 26, 1939 in Gilmer, Texas and had lived in Longview since 1959. He was the Manager of the Family Dollar Store in Gilmer and was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church.
The Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6p.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday October 7,2001.
The family request that memorials be made to the Amercian Cancer Association. He was preceded in death by his father,Barney Roberts and brother Grady Roberts.
