When we moved to Longview we needed a vet and found Max Rhinehart. He was always so calm and patient with us and caring to our animals. I remember his sadness over Muffet our dog and the first dog our boys had known. He was a wonderful man and vet.
You are on my mind and in my heart. Max was there when I needed him most - helping me deal with crises with my beloved cats. He exuded emphathy and inherently understood that I was the patient too. I will always be grateful for the life saving steps and his wonderful way of providing hope in what seemed a hopeless situation.

i met Max 30+ years ago in his practice, and quickly came to understand that he was an interesting fellow, solid and plainspoken. i followed him to kenny's for all my dogs, until his stepping back from the workplace. we shared interests, and many stories, and i know the world has lost another good man.

My mother, Bonny Shott, started bringing our pets to Dr. Rhinehart in the 1970s, and we stayed with him until his retirement. Dr. Max was a caring veterinarian who treated both his human and animal clients with great respect and compassion. I am saddened to hear of his passing. ~Karen Stroman
