Funeral services for Maudina Scruggs Moore, 85, of East Mountain will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 9, 2013 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview with the Reverend James Berryhill officiating. She went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, May 5, at her residence.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Moore was born September 18, 1927 in Corsicana, TX to Paul and Hester Scruggs. She had been a resident of East Mountain for the past 7 years, moving from Corsicana. She was a former resident of Dallas and retired from the Dallas Independent School District after 20 years service. Mrs. Moore was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Rufus Gordon Berryhill and Dubart Allen Moore; her granddaughter, Michele R. Berryhill and 3 sisters and 3 brothers.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sons and daughters-in-law, Ronald H. Berryhill, Sr. of Dallas, Robert G. and Jackie Berryhill of East Mountain and James M. and Jeanne Berryhill of Bogata, Columbia; grandchildren, Robert M. Berryhill, Rhonda K. Berryhill, Kimberly D. Anderson, Ronald H. Berryhill, David A. Berryhill and Esther N. Gomez; 14 great grandchildren; and her sister, Mary Lou Wright of Dallas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
