Maudie Ruth McDaniel's Obituary
Maudie Ruth McDaniel was born on February 14, 1932, in Hamburg, Arkansas. She passed on to her heavenly reward on July 23, 2025. She was 93 years old.
She was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother (many times over). Her husband of 66 years, Virgil Wesley McDaniel, preceded her in death, along with her parents and 5 siblings. She is survived by her 2 loving children, Jean (Howard) Boney and Wesley (Kathy) McDaniel; 6 grandchildren, Katrinia (Paul) Thrasher, Melissa (Kevin) Reighard, Brent McDaniel, Nathan (Rochelle) Boney, Morgan (Candace) Boney, and Megan (Cory) Bradshaw; 21 great-grand children; 4 great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends and church family.
Maudie leaves behind a great legacy of faith and family. She was a devoted Christian who loved the Lord and raised her children in the apostolic faith. She was a faithful, longtime member of Calvary Christian Tabernacle. She loved to travel, camp, and fish. And telling others about her adventures was almost as much fun! She acted as navigator on the long road trips and could remember every road she traveled and every spot she camped. She could out-fish her loving husband and could narrate their travel slideshows like none other.
She will be missed by all who knew her, but our loss is Heaven’s great gain. She is rejoicing today in the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and we look forward to the day we will be reunited again, worshiping around the throne.
Services will be held in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview on Monday, July 28 at 12 noon. Visitation will be held Sunday evening between 5 and 7 pm at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest at Lakeview Cemetery.
