Maudie Cornette
Graveside services for Maudie Cornette, 90, of Longview will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, February 6, 2009 at Tyler Memorial Park Cemetery, Tyler, with the Reverend Don Ross officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. She passed away, Tuesday, February 3, in Longview.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
She was born January 25, 1919 in Obine County, Tennessee and had been a resident of Longview for the past 24 years. She was a longtime employee of Montgomery Wards in Tyler and a member of the Greggton United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Cornette was preceded in death by husband George Cornette.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Bobby Allen of Longview; 3 grandchildren, Mike and Susan Allen of Tulsa, OK, Cindy and Milton Bagley of Gilmer, and Kim and Matt Comfort of Longview; 6 great grandchildren; 7 great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews including Martha and Bill Whitehead of Tyler.
The family wishes to thank all the staff at Summer Meadows for the loving care she received.
