in honor of Maudean.

The trip to Tx to see Aunt Maudean and Uncle Cliff was like traveling to the other side of the world from MS, Because we were on the other side of the world the sun stayed up longer, we played outside longer and we thought that was so cool. Aunt Maudean made homemade candy mints for us, I looked forward those mint every time. Because mom (LouAnn)and Maudean had common age kids the letters shared were about what child had achieved what goal that month.
We have been so blessed to have the Burgess family and the love that has come along with them..The Burgess brothers and sisters shared a special love for one another and they passed that love to the nieces and nephews.
As we remember the family memories of Aunt Maudean,Uncle Cliff, Tim, David and Jayne I smile.
Knowing that Aunt Maudean is at peace and with her Father, all is well.

I remember the fun we used to have the weekend after Christmas every year. We'd all meet up at Grandma's house or Lou Ann and Bee's or our house. Cousins would be overflowing and stacked to the rafters. Family fun!! I've been reading Mom and Dad's old letter to each other to Mom for the past couple of months. What a joy to read how sweetly all Dad's sisters loved him, and how Maudean planned to go to the wedding instand she heard about Dad getting married--even if it was hundreds of miles away. She made the trip when Dad's mom and dad didn't go. That is sweet love, and I cherish that. Today she and daddy are whooping it up in Heaven, praising Jesus, and what a blessing it is to KNOW where our loved ones are when they pass away.
