Graveside services for Mattie Sue Anderson, 84, of Harleton will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, December 21, 2005 at Center Cemetery in Harleton with the Reverend Charlotte Riddle officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview.
Ms. Anderson was born on January 30, 1921 in Harleton to Lee and Lovedy Anderson. She passed away on Monday morning, December 19, 2005 in a Longview nursing facility.
Ms. Anderson attended and graduated from Harleton Schools, was a long-time member of the Harleton Baptist Church, and most recently a member of Valley View Baptist Church of Longview. Throughout her lifetime, Ms. Anderson resided and worked in many places including, Harleton, Michigan, Marshall, Hallsville, Amarillo, and Longview. She enjoyed researching her family genealogy, and even searched the National archives in Washington D.C.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Florine ?Flo? Barnes, Jeanette ?Jeanie? Foley; and brothers, Milton ?Mitt? Anderson and W.D. ?Pete? Anderson. She is survived by her sisters, Erile Matthis and Lou Ellen ?Bossie? Williams both of Longview; brother, L.A. ?Sonny? Anderson of Hallsville; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
