Melinda & Terry, our thoughts and prayers are with you. May God
give you both the strength you need to cope with this loss and terrible tragedy. Even though Matt's years on this earth were much too short, may happy memories always be with you to help heal your broken hearts.

Matt was the first person who talked to and befriended me in college. He was co-editor of The Flare, and I was the cartoonist/photographer and I would hang out in the newspaper lab in the mornings. Matt was usually up there. I can be pretty shy, but he still chatted with me, and helped me get involved. I can definitely say I wouldn't be where I am without him. Thanks for blessing us with such a great person.##imported-begin##Jamie Maldonado##imported-end##
Matt and I were co-editors together on The Flare in 1998 and worked together at LNJ. He was always a joy to be around--always helpful, always smiling. Matt would do anything that needed to be done, and I could always count on his work to be high quality. It is no surprise that he was so successful in his chosen career. His spirit, drive and humor made him an extraordinary friend. We love you and miss you, Matt.##imported-begin##Tish##imported-end##
