Mary Grace Rodgers' Obituary
Friends and family are invited to remember and celebrate the life of Mary Grace Rodgers, 63, of Longview, at a visitation from 5-7 p.m. Friday, March 23, at Rader Funeral Home, 1617 Judson Road, Longview Texas. A funeral mass is scheduled for Saturday, March 24, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Longview.
Mary Grace was born on September 1, 1948, in Longview, Texas to John Francis Rodgers, Jr. and Mary Ruth Pond Rodgers. She graduated from Longview High School and went on to receive degrees from Stephen F. Austin University and the University of North Texas. She lived most of her life in Longview, and taught English, Speech and Debate at Longview High School for over 30 years. Mary Grace was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church.
She is preceded in death by her father, mother, and infant brother, John Francis Rodgers, III. Mary Grace is survived by her brother, James Charles JC Rodgers, sister-in-law Melonye and niece Jordan, of Henderson, Texas; nephews Jason and Lucas Rodgers of San Antonio, and nephew Jake Thompson and wife Sally, great niece Presley, also of Henderson; brother John S. Rodgers, sister-in-law Gayle and nephews Jackson Rodgers and Daniel Bortel of Plano, Texas; and sister Elizabeth Liz and brother-in-law Jimmy F. Kinsey, Jr. of Kilgore, Texas. Mary Grace will be greatly missed by those whose lives she touched.
