MARY WASSONServices for Mary Wasson , 79, of Longview will be 10 am Thursday, February 5th at the Rader Funeral Home Chapel with Ritchie Hamm officiating. Burial will be at 3 pm in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Wolfe City, Texas. Mrs. Wasson died Sunday afternoon, March 1st at a Longview medical center. She was born November 4, 1929 in Wolf City to Boyd and Dewey Gover Bower. A resident of Longview since 1957, Mary was a homemaker and was employed by the Pine Tree I.S.D. as secretary to the athletic director. She was a longtime member of the Pine Tree Church of Christ and was a devoted wife, mother, and doting grandmother to her five grandchildren.Mary is survived by her husband of 60 years, James of Longview; her daughter, Sandra Turner of Longview; her sons and daughters-in-law, Duane and Julia Wasson and Kevin and Kim Wasson of Longview; grandchildren, Staci and Holli Turner, Kerry Lane, Keaton Wasson and Duann Wasson along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins, Jo and Sam Renner, Tillman and Carrie Ann Phillips and Susan and Mike Duvall.Visitation will be Wednesday evening 6 to 8 pm at Rader Funeral Home, 1617 Judson Rd. Memorial donations may be made to the Pine Tree Church of Christ Building Fund, 3121 Dundee Rd., Longview, TX 75604.
