Mary T. Hickman's Obituary
Mary T. Hickman age 50, of Hallsville, passed away peacefully at home with her loving family by her side Saturday, March 31, 2012.
She was born in Dumas, TX then the family moved to Hallsville. It was there she attended local schools growing up and graduated from Hallsville High School in 1979.
In November 1977 Mary married her childhood sweetheart, Jimmy Hickman and together for the next 34 years raised a family in Hallsville.
She was not a sports enthusiast however, whenever her family was playing she would always be there cheering them on.
Mary looked forward to and loved her annual trips with her girl friends.
She became a green thumb and enjoyed many hours in her garden tending to her flowers.
Mary was all about family. They were her passion and joy.
Mary is survived by her loving husband of 34 years Jimmy Hickman, children, Jimmy Hickman and his wife Tanya, Jody Hickman and his wife Angel, grandchildren, Dakota, John, Shelby, Hayden and one on the way, all from Hallsville. She is also survived by her mother, Mary Twombly, sister, Marylin Diffey and her husband Jeff, brothers, Don Neal and his wife Debbie, Billy Neal and his wife Robbie, Jackie Neal and his wife Gwenie, Darryl Neal and his wife Lisa, Terry Neal and his wife Ann, Craig Twombly and his wife Julie, Jason and Danny Nixon all of Hallsville, Robert Neal and his wife Becky of Paris, TX, brothers-in-law Donnie Hickman and his wife Dora, Jeff Hickman and his wife Christine, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. She will be sorely missed by all her family and friends.
She is preceded in passing by her grand parents, Nolan and Mattie Welty, Clearance and Elizabeth Neal, father, Delvin Twombly, mother and father-in-law, Lila Mae and Elmer Hickman.
There will be a time of visitation Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at Rader Funeral Home, Longview, from 5 pm–7 pm. Funeral services will be the next day, Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at Mulberry Springs Baptist Church, Hallsville, at 10am. Officiating will be Pastor Danny Warbington. Honoring her as pall bearers will be Chesley Hill, Billy Rex Carver, Steve Smith, Bobby Knight, Brandon and Dustin Neal. Interment will follow at Hallsville Cemetery.
