Mary Ruth Messenger Hill
Mary Ruth Messenger Hill , 90, went to be with the Lord Sunday October 8, 2006 when she died at a Longview Hospital. She was born February 15, 1916 at Hillsdale, Oklahoma to Martin Joseph and Goldie Overton Messenger. Mrs. Hill, a former resident of Wichita, Kansas moved to Longview in February, 1998 from Aransas Pass. She was a homemaker, a member of the Oakland Heights Baptist Church, and for more than 27 years was a school nurse for the Wichita, Kansas School District.
She is survived by her sons: Clifford Lee Hill of Longview, Jerry Kent Hill of Little Rock, Arkansas, and Jimmy Hill of Green River, Wyoming; her sisters, Elda Bell Coleman of Pakastan and Ada Rhea Harding of Enid Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kent Pershing Hill in 2001, a sister, June Atkinson in 1993, a brother-in-law, Tommy Atkinson in 1999, and a brother, Lee Messenger in 1999.
Funeral services will be 10 AM Wednesday, October 11th at the Rader Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tom Roberson officiating. Burial will be 3 PM Thursday at the White Chapel Cemetery in Wichita, Kansas. Family visitation will be at Rader Funeral Home, 1617 Judson Rd. Tuesday evening 6 to 8 PM.
