Mary Evelyn Reel's Obituary
Mary E. Reel, 76, of Longview went to be with her Lord in the early evening of August 3, 2020 at her home in Longview. A private service will be held with family at a later date.
Mary was born on August 2, 1944 in Littlefield TX to parents William and Esta Reel. She worked for Texas Instruments in Lubbock TX for 10 years. She moved to Longview TX in 1993 and soon began working for Kennedy Gourmet for 10 years before retirement. In her later years, Mary loved listening to her gospel music and visiting people with her friends on Facebook. Mary was a devout Christian, and always worked to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, William and Esta Reel; sisters Betty Jean Bell-Scarlett, and Rita Ann Stevens; and brothers Freddie and Frank Reel. Those left to cherish their memories of Mary include her children, Tommy Joe Harris and his wife Alisa, Sonya Jean Hogan and her husband Pete, and Faye Ann Boese and her husband Rick; special niece Yvonne Jean Anderson; sisters Elsie Faye Haugland and Alice “Tootsie” Terry; brother William “Tot” Reel; grandchildren Zachary Bruhn, Lindsey Navarro, Kevin Pool, Christy Swift, Steve Liles, and Brandy Hogan; 12 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
