Mary R. Vaughan
Mary R. Vaughan passed away Friday September 26, 2008 after a long illness.
Born October 23, 1932, daughter to John and Teresa Malish Manak. She grew up in Ennis, Texas and lived most of her life in Longview, Texas where she raised her six children.
She was fluent in two languages and loved to read. She was a loving Mother,
Grandmother and Great-Grandmother to her many family members and will always be remembered and revered by her loved ones. She was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church, volunteered at Good Shepherd Medical Center and worked as a Librarian for the Longview Public Library.
A rosary service will be held at 9:30 am prior to the Mass of Christian Burial for Mary Vaughan, 75, of Longview will be held at Ten O'clock am Friday October 3, 2008 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church with Father Bruce Lincoln officiating. Internment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Gardens under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview.
Preceded in death by her husband Roy E. Vaughan, she is survived by two sons, Johnny Vaughan and wife Tammy of Athens, Alabama; James Vaughan and wife Jeanie of Hallsville, TX.; four daughters, Rose Dubiel and husband Terry of Houston, TX.; Georgia Hines and husband Ross of Bryan, TX.; Angela Cox and husband Jim of Mustang, OK.; Lorrie Neal and husband Dayrel of Tatum, TX.; thirteen grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, one brother, Jerry Manak and wife Joanne, two sisters, Ann Melin and Rose Mitchell.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday October 2, 2008 from 6pm until 8pm.
