Mary Nell Rawls Freeman's Obituary
Mary Nell Rawls Freeman joined her beloved husband, Ronnie, in heaven on April 12, 2011, after a courageous two and a half year battle with Pancreatic Cancer. Mary was born on January 10, 1957 to Gwendolyn and Patrick Rawls in Marshall, Texas. She graduated from Longview High School in 1975, where she was active with the Texas Young Republican Federation Club, serving several years as a delegate to the State YR conventions. Mary had a wealth of friends from her school years and more fun than she cared to share with her four boys!
Mary was a long time control room operator at Texas Eastman Chemical. She married the love of her life and best friend, Ronnie, in 1985. They shared twenty fun filled years together and their passion was their four sons. Mary tried to arrange her work schedule around their football, basketball, and baseball games, taking pride as they played for the Lobos and later as college athletes. Mary s three grandchildren brought her so much joy!
Mary is survived by four sons: Landon Hawk and wife Lisa, children Kaitlyn and Tucker of Farmersville, Texas, Lucas Hawk and son Patrick, Gordon Freeman, and Carlin Freeman, all of Longview, mother Gwendolyn Bachus Rawls of Marble Falls, Texas, formerly of Marshall and Longview, aunt Lillie Nell Rawls Mayfield of Marshall, sisters Linda Rawls Kerr, Austin, Texas, and Suzanne Rawls Graham and husband Tom Graham, Horseshoe Bay, Texas, and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and close friends that she held dear to her heart.
