Funeral services Mary E. Minor Bell, age 90 of the Oak Hill Community, will be held at the Lakeview Baptist Church at 11:00am Wednesday November 19, 2008 with the Rev. Kerry Meador & Rev. Ted White
officiating, burial will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery under the direction of the Rader Funeral Home of Henderson
Mary Minor Bell, daughter of Albert and NannieWelch Fergerson, was born December 8, 1917 in Rusk County, and passed away Monday November 17, 2008 at Good Shepherd Hospital in Longview.
Mary was a lifelong member of the Baptist Church and a charter member of the Lakeview Baptist Church in the Lakeview Community. She was very involved with the church both as a Sunday School teacher and as a singer with choir.
Mary also enjoyed cooking and quilting in her free time. Mary was involved in her church service and in helping others. Her family cherished her for her home cooking, especially for the holidays, which made them a very special time.
She is survived by three daughters, Gloria Rousseau of Overton, Reba Lynn Taylor of Baytown, and Linda Alford of Pasadena;one step-daughter Betty Kilpatric of Spokane, WA; one sister Pauline Lollar of Belton; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren. Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, John G. Minor , she was also preceded in death by her second husband of 18 years Oscar Bell; two sons
Danny Minor, and infant Warren Minor; one step- son, Carroll "Buddy" Minor; one step daughter, Melba Moore, and three brothers.
The family will meet friends from 6pm – 8pm tonight at the funeral home.
