Mary Mings Nichols' Obituary
Funeral services for Mary Mings Nichols, 67, of Longview will be held at 10 AM Saturday, May 4, 2002 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home with Dr. Harry Lucenay officiating. Interment will follow at Rosewood Park. After a lengthy fight with cancer, she went peacefully to be with her Lord on April 30, 2002.
A loving mother and grandmother, Mrs. Nichols was born July 29, 1934 in Kirvin, Texas to John Wesley and Winnie Dee Marberry. She was a longtime resident of the Longview area, and graduated from Kilgore High School. She was a lifetime homemaker, and loved arts and crafts, and the company of her Toy Poodle and constant companion ''Goldie''. She was a member of Kilgore Baptist Church.
Mrs. Nichols was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Nichols; her parents; her granddaughter, Ashley Paige Camp; sister, Peggy Ruth Marberry; and brother, J.W. Marberry.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Pamela and Steve Camp; son Bob Mings, Jr. all of Longview; sister and brother-in-law, Dee and R. C. Judy of Longview; sister, Betty Jo Ecoff of Teague, Texas; brother-in-law, Lee Nichols of Karnack Texas; grandchildren, Shannon Dee Kane Reinhardt and her husband Jim, Bradley Scott Gary, and Aaron Todd Gary all of Austin, Mary Katherine ''Katie'' Camp of Longview and Michael Robert Mings of Addy, Washington ; great grandson, Benjamin Kane Reinhardt of Austin; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 6-8 PM.
