Mary Maxine Badders McKelvy
Graveside services for Mary Maxine Badders McKelvy, 94, of Longview will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, June 23, 2011 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont, TX with the Reverend Richard Coward officiating. Interment will be under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. She passed away Tuesday morning, June 21, in a memory care facility in Longview.
Mrs. McKelvy was born September 24, 1916 in Silsbee, TX to Joseph and Gertrude Badders. Prior to moving to Longview, she was a longtime resident of Beaumont where she was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
To her grandchildren and great grandchildren, she was known as Mamine. She gave them many happy memories of delicious cakes baked "from scratch," and unending love, and took great pride in their accomplishments. She used her outstanding talent as a seamstress to sew outfits for her daughter and later for her grandsons-each one sewn with love. We will miss her always.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Beal O. "Mac" McKelvy; sisters, Alene Crawford Hurley, Margaret Dorrill, and Doris Fults; and brother Joseph Henry Badders, Jr.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter and son-in-law Jolene and Don Auderer of Longview, TX; two grandsons and their wives, Cary and Elizabeth Auderer of Largo, FL and Brian and Laura Auderer of Austin; and three great grandchildren, Michael and Alyssa Auderer of Largo, FL and Sadie Auderer of Austin.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 3613 S. Broadway, Tyler, TX 75701.
