Funeral services for Mary Louise Williams Sims, 79, of Longview will be held at 2 PM Monday, December 5, 2005 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview, 1617 Judson Road with Mr. Eddie Gooch officiating. Interment will follow in Rosewood Park.
Our beloved mother and grandmother went peacefully to be with the Lord, Thursday, December 1, 2005, at her home while surrounded by family and friends.
Born August 12, 1926 in Olney, she was the daughter of Clarence W. Williams and Lucille Johnson Williams. Mrs. Sims was educated in the Kilgore school system. She married Rollie Clifford Sims in Kilgore on September 30, 1945. She was a member of Alpine Church of Christ.
Mrs. Sims owned and operated Fun Motors, Inc. of Longview and Tyler for many years. She and Rollie were instrumental in bringing the first Honda and Toyota dealerships to East Texas. She was an active supporter of Crisman Preparatory School and the Longview Premier Force Soccer Club.
Family was the number one priority in her life. One of her proudest moments was when she attended the graduation of her granddaughter from Baylor University School of Nursing.
Later in life, she was happiest being with her great-grandson. Mrs. Sims loved traveling, reading, youth sports and sharing her love and wisdom with her many friends.
She is survived by her devoted family; daughter, Lynn ?Dunk? Moorman; granddaughter, Holly Moorman; great-grandson, Bode Barber; Bode?s father, Jason Barber; favorite aunt; Lauris Butler of Ft. Worth; favorite cousin, Thomas McAllister of Charlotte, NC., other aunts, cousins, and numerous friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rollie Sims, and son-in-law, Joe Moorman.
Serving as pallbearers will be: Juan Alba, Paul Enloe, Elton Hagler, Aaron Justice, Larry Lindsey, and Gary Lindsey.
Family are welcome. Memorials may be made to Crisman Prepatory School, 2455 N. Eastman Road, Longview, Texas 75605, and Heart?sWay Hospice, 1306 Pine Tree Road, Longview, Texas 75604.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 PM Sunday, December 4, 2005 in the funeral home chapel.
