Mary Lou Sedgwick's Obituary
Mary Lou Williams Sedgwick entered into this world on April 19, 1933 born to M.O.Buck and Effie Millwee Williams in Williams Community in Brown County Texas. She passed suddenly from this life on March 26, 2013. She was raised with two brothers and three sisters, one being her twin. She attended schools in Texas and Wyoming. She graduated from Byron High School in Byron, Wyoming, where she met and married the love of her life, Leroy Sedgwick on May 19, 1950. They were happily married for almost 63 years. Together they raised a family of six children. Their journey took them from Texas to Washington state to the Philippines and back to Texas. Mary Lou loved gardening and attending to her plants and flowers. She was still attending to an ivy plant she received at her father's funeral in 1974. Mary Lou loved all her family and especially loved being with the little ones. Her family always looked forward to their family get-togethers because they knew she would be making her famous pizza that they all loved. Mary Lou was the definition of class. She always looked like she was dressed for church, which she was a lot of the time since she was a preacher's wife. She was always at Leroy's side in everything they did, whether it was at worship, working in a garden or just watching a movie. Mary Lou will be dearly missed, but we know we will all be united again one day.
Mary Lou was preceded in death by her parents, M.O. Williams and Effie Millwee Williams, two brothers and two sisters, two children, Dan Sedgwick – son and Susie Sedgwick Crabtree – daughter and one granddaughter, Jennifer Hornsby.
She is survived by her husband, Leroy Sedgwick, her children, Robert Sedgwick and wife Linda, Debbie Hornsby and husband Wayne, Cherie Weaver and husband John, Angela Hardy and husband Rick and one sister Eloise Baker and husband Kenneth of Powell, Wyoming. She is also survived by her 12 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
Services will be held Saturday 10am March, 30 2013 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Henderson with Robert Johnson and Joe Haley officiating. Burial will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 6:00pm to 8:00pm Friday March 29, 2013.
