Mary Lou Cochran's Obituary
Memorial services for Mary Lou Cochran, 92, of Henderson, will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, February 6, 2007, at the Rader Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ricky Ricks officiating. Interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Henderson.
Mrs. Cochran died Saturday, February 3, 2007, in Tyler.
She was born May 17, 1914 in Tyler to Henry and Ernestine Lyons Walker.
She was raised in Jacksonville , a graduate of Jacksonville High School, and had been a resident of Henderson for many years. She was employed as a florist for Rayford Florist and later worked as a seamstress for Sue Ann Manufacturing Co .Mrs. Cochran will be remembered for her beautiful hand knit and crochet work that she so lovingly shared with family and friends. She was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother.
She was a member of Henderson Memorial Hospital Auxiliary from 1982 to 2003 and had over 5800 hours of volunteer service during the 21 years she served.
Mrs. Cochran was a member of the First United Methodist Church and for many years served as secretary of her Sunday School Class. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband William Theo Cochran; brother Henry Michael Walker, and sisters Elizabeth Walker Lundy and Janice Walker Wrotenbery.
Surviving is a son: Bill Cochran and wife Carolyn of Henderson; daughter, Nancy Cochran Irick and husband Terry of Longview; sisters, Ethel Mae Mullins of Henderson and Joyce Hanes of Gladewater; seven grandchildren; Cindy Cochran of Rowlett, Coy Cochran and wife Diana of Henderson, Mary Elizabeth Jackson and husband Donnie of Wimberly, Sarah Baker and husband Rocky of Henderson, Bruce Irick and wife Beverly of Austin , DeAnne Nicholson and husband Tommy of Henderson, and Brad Irick and wife Kristi of The Woodlands; 16 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Monday from 5 to 7 PM at the funeral home.

The family would like to express their appreciation to all the caregivers in the Special Care unit at Kingsley Place for their love and concern.Also, appreciation to Hospice of East Texas Home Place-Tyler for their support during a difficult time.
