A wonderful ladr that I enjoyed seeing daily while I was Postmaster at Lone Star. There are some customers that become very special to you and Mrs. Lanagan was definitely. One of those people..

Mayo, just read about Mary last night in my stacked up papers. Many memories came back to me. Don't know if you recall, but Mother, Bobby and I lived next door to the Forts on Hughes while Daddy (B.R) was a Civil Service Electrician doing repairs in Pearl Harbor. The Forts were a lively, active family and Mr. Fort made pictures of us to send to Daddy. We moved away when Daddy returned. Don't remember the circumstances, but you and Bobby became friends and you also took beautiful photos of my family. Some I still have! You and Mary were always sweet and happy when I saw you and I know you had a wonderful life together. My prayers go out to you and your extended family.

David Just saw about your loss (4:40 Mar 15} I would have been there to hug you if I had heard earlier. Those of us who have a loss to parent a distance away wonder why we didn't get there or call more often. Mother knows! She was a fantastic lady per her obit. She enjoyed this world and is now going to enjoy the next with greater love.
"Remember Son" she can now hear or see everything you do or say. ( My attempt to brighten your day during this time of sorrow)
Love you guy
Rest in peace Mary, after a life well lived. Sincerely, Sandra Shipp
All my love and prayers to the family
