Mary Howeth's Obituary
Mary Elizabeth Gossett Howeth went home to be with the heavenly father on Thursday, June 13, 2024. She was born on March 21, 1937, to Wallace Ellis Chote and Martha "Catherine" Boone Chote in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Thomas Gossett and husband P.C. Howeth, son Thomas J Gossett SR, and stepson Gary Howeth. Also preceding her were her sister, Susie Berry (Orville), brothers Carl Chote, (Lucille), Jessie Chote, (Dorothy), Luther Chote, Richard Chote (Peggy), brothers-in-laws: George Gossett (Mary), and Chuck Haufe, sister-in-law Patricia Gossett.
She is survived by sons Howard Gossett (Laura) and Richard Gossett (Melanie) all of Henderson, TX. Daughter-in-law Michelle Gossett of Buxton, ME. Grandchildren - Tiffany Cox, Mary Jane Stone (Jeremy), Scott Gossett (Shirley), Joey Gossett, Kristina Grandgeorge (Ronnie), Riley Starr, Sarah Doss (Bo), Rachel Bunn (Mitchell), Heather Mullins (Bryan), Aaron Delledonne (Brian), TJ Gossett JR (Tabitha), Cindy Honnell (Joshua), Stephen Cochran (Brandy), Jamie Cochran, Travis Jenkins, Joel Howeth (Serena), Micheal Howeth. Great Grandchildren Jordan, Curtis, Chloe, Kiersten, Hailey, Bethany, Emily, Brantley, Ariana, Gracie, Colton, Cora, Aiden, Brycen, Ian, Raelynn, Skylar, Bradley, Dominic, Charlie, Dimitri, Everhett (due in August), Jonathan, Logan, Cody, and Joshua, Sister Barbara Haufe, brother-in-law Haskell Gossett, sister and brother-in-law, Ettie and Donald Copeland. Mary is also survived by her beloved pets Shadow and Baby Kitty. Many very special nieces and nephews, her church family and her dear friend, Ann Propes.
Her favorite color was pink. She was an A-1 Gardener, who loved all flowers. Every spring she planted a vegetable garden. She was a cake decorator, who took pure joy in making someone's day with a cake. Mary was a devoted Christian, who believed in spreading the Word of God. She was the scrapbook queen. Pallbearers: Grandsons - TJ, Jeremy, Bo, Mitchell, Bryan and Great Grandson Jordan.
Funeral services for Mary will be held Thursday, June 20 at 2pm in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Henderson with the burial to follow at Pinegrove Cemetery. A visitation will be held the night before at the funeral home between 6 and 8pm
