Mary Inez Ritter Haley's Obituary
Mary Inez Ritter Haley, age 88, of Longview, passed away April 27, 2016. She was born October 6, 1927 in Meadow, TX to Frank and Minnie Ritter.
Mary moved from Kilgore to Longview in 1959 then, in 1960 she retired from working as a beautician to become a full time homemaker and to take care of her 6 beautiful daughters. One of her many passions was working in her flower garden. Mary was a great cook and enjoyed cooking for her family. She had a keen eye for design both in and out of the home. Mary enjoyed hunting for antiques and traveled all over in her quests for them. She was of the Baptist faith. Mary was a devoted wife, a loving mother and a friend to all and she will be sorely missed.
Those left to cherish her memory are her 6 loving daughters Jacquelyn Layne, Gwendolyn Seilhant, Linda Marie Matthis, Mary Beth Waggonner, Elisha L. Braun and Janice Layne; also one sister Lois Dobbs, 6 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mary is preceded in passing by her husband of 58 years Gene T. Haley, husband Archie W. Layne, husband Thomas Fohn, her daughter Shelia Fohn, her parents Mr. and Mrs. Frank Ritter, two brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be 2pm Saturday, April 30, 2016 at Rader Funeral Home in Longview. Interment will follow services in the mausoleum at Rosewood Park. Viewing will begin one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
