Funeral services for Frances Dunn, 85, of Longview will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 21, 2007 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview with the Reverend Scott Schulik officiating. Interment will be in Lakeview Memorial Gardens. She passed away Tuesday, April 17, 2007 in Longview.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Dunn was born July 25, 1921 in Creek, Texas to James and Pat Dawson and had been a resident of Longview since 1946. After graduating from Austonio High School, she attended Sam Houston University, where she met and later married Ralph Andrew Dunn, who preceded her in death. She was a homemaker and a volunteer at Good Shepherd Medical Center. Mrs. Dunn was a member of Mobberly Baptist Church where she was the Jr. High Department Director and a Sunday school teacher. She served on several committee?s, including the pastor search committee that brought Dr. Laney Johnson to Longview.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, J. E. Dawson.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Edwin Poorman of Ft. Wayne, IN; son, Andy Dunn of Longview; grandchildren, Shane Poorman and his wife Stephanie, and Heather Dunn; great grandchildren, Benjamin and Kaytlin Poorman.
