Mary Alice Eady's Obituary
Our Heavenly Father welcomed home His faithful servant, Mary Alice Eady, 81, of Longview, on Friday, June 6, 2025. Mary was born on October 9, 1943, in Columbia, Mississippi.
Those who will continue to cherish her memory include her daughters, Kelly Alston (Aaron) of Longview, TX, and Cindi Hudson (Rocky) of Trophy Club, TX; her brother, Tommy Harrell of Tucson, AZ; her grandchildren, Macey and Atley Alston, Colby (Sarah)and Ty Hudson; great-grandchild, Jericho Hudson; sisters-in-law, Margaret Harrell, Joyce Sclease (Jon), and Barbara Morgan; as well as many beloved cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Mary was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 53 years, Jerry Eady; her parents, Obie and Vicki Harrell; her cherished in-laws, Herschel and Ima Eady; and her dear brothers, Bobby and Billy Harrell.
Mary loved the Lord deeply and read her Bible daily. She was a devoted follower of Jesus Christ and lived her faith through her actions. She faithfully volunteered at church until her health no longer allowed. Mary’s warmth, humor, and kindness brought joy to all who knew her. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchild with a heart overflowing and loved her husband with all of her being.
We find peace in knowing that Mary's race has been run in the power of the grace of her Lord. We are forever grateful for her faithful dedication to her family, church and countless friends. Mary's life was an inspiration to all who had the privilege to know her.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at 1:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 2:00 p.m., both at Greggton First Baptist Church in Longview, TX. Mary will be laid to rest at Rosewood Park in Longview. Services are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview.
