Mary Wanda Benge's Obituary
Mary Wanda Benge, 84, passed away on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. She was born to John Henry and Mamie Marie Black on January 12, 1933 in New London, TX.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years, Joe Donald Benge; Her parents; and sister Shirley Black Strong.
Those left to cherish her memory are son and daughter-in-law Ron and Brenda Benge, daughter and son-in-law, Angie and Gary Blalack, and daughter, Glenda Benge Jacobs; grandchildren, Shelly Lockwood, Brandon Benge and wife Cristy, Wes Blalock and wife Becky, Robert Benge, Clint Blalack, Kalia Jacobs and Colton Jacobs and wife Sandra; 12 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
Mrs. Benge was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She had a wonderful sense of humor. And a devoted fan, cheerleader, and coach for the Dallas Cowboys.
Mrs. Benge was a co-owner of Longview Blind and Screen in Longview and was an active member of Summerfield United Methodist Church.
The family would like to express their sincere thanks to Life Care Hospice.
A funeral service will take place on Thursday December 21, 2017 at Summerfield United Methodist Church at 2 pm. Burial will follow the service at Summerfield Cemetery. The family will receive family and friends for a time of visitation one hour prior to the service at the church.
