Mary Beatrice Fleisher's Obituary
Mary Beatrice ?Bea? Fleisher died peacefully in the presence of her family on Monday, May 24. She was born Feb. 12, 1925, near Bernice, La., to William Jesse and Bertha Lee Tabor Fomby. After graduating from Bernice High School and business school in Ruston, Bea joined the WAVES during World War II. While stationed in Kingsville, she met and married Oscar Fleisher on Feb. 16, 1945. After moving to Longview, Bea kept busy raising five children. In later years she enjoyed working for Dillard?s.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar, brothers, Marvin, W.L., James; and sister, Doris. Survived by her son, Harvey, and wife, Vicky, Houston; son, David, and wife, Dede, Tyler; daughter, Karen, Arlington; daughter, Sheryl, and husband, Gordon, Princeton; son, Steve, Longview; six grandchildren, Laura, Jenni, Brian, Matthew, Scott and Rachel; two great-grandchildren, David and Melanie; brother, Robert, Monroe, La.; sisters, Evelyn, Monroe, and Tressie, Alexandria, La. Bea was a traditional Southern lady who will be missed by all who knew her.
Visitation will be 6?8 p.m., Wednesday, May 26, with services at noon, Thursday, May 27, at the chapel of Rader Funeral Home in Longview. Interment will be at Lakeview Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
