Mary Alliene Norton
Funeral services for Mary Alliene Norton, 98, of Longview formerly of Housotn will be held at Two O'clock pm Wednesday March 4, 2009 at the First United Methodist Church with Reverend Pat Sparks officiating. A Private family graveside will be held at Brookside Memorial Park on Thursday March 5, 2009 under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Mrs. Norton passed away Friday February 27, 2009 in Longview.
She was born October 26, 1910 in Mabank, Texas to Allen and Paulina Gregory Johnson. She was a School Teacher with the Houston Independent School District and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Longview.
She is survived by her children, Nancy Hutson and husband Jerry of Murphys, California; Paul Norton and wife Barbara of Longview, Texas; six grandchildren, David Norton and wife Amy, Linda Devlin and husband Danny, Amy Johnson and husband Dustin, Alecia Spillman and husband John, Elaine Howard and husband Gary, Alison May and husband Rich; thirteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, E. C. Coleman Norton, son Allen Lee Norton, and great-grandson Mick May
The family would like to thank Beacon Hospice and Mrs. Norton's caregivers Barbara Cruea, Melissa Diamond, Cassie Evans, Ola Fiore, Carmen Looney, Lajuana Sampson, and Linda Shelton for all the love aand care they gave her.
